ABOUT NIKI

Niki has been working with dogs for over 10 years. Her love of dogs began when she started working at York RSPCA, taking care of the dogs who were looking for new homes. In her 5 years at the centre her love of training grew, and she successfully implemented many training plans with the dogs in her care which helped to see them be adopted by new owners. While working at the RSPCA, Niki met Jane and jumped at the chance to volunteer with her to expand her learning and develop new skills and taught training classes for True Pawtential while Jane was on maternity leave with her first child.

Niki left the RSPCA to progress her career at Dogs Trust in Leeds. After working there for a short time, Niki joined the Dogs Trust Dog School team, becoming their senior coach, and successfully ran training classes for pet dogs as well as carrying out 1-2-1 training sessions. Niki attended many training courses and seminars with Dogs Trust to expand her training knowledge.

Niki left Dogs Trust and started working for True Pawtential in 2019 and now runs training classes, as well as 1-2-1 sessions and masterclasses, having a particular interest in puppy training and agility.

Niki has attended dog training courses and seminars with the IMDT and is hoping to achieve her membership with them in the near future.

Niki currently owns a rescue terrier cross called Ronnie and when she isn’t dog training she enjoys hiking mountains and dog photography.
